The strings of Delhi car blast are being linked to Al-Falah Trust.
The name of “Al-Falah”, till now known for his charitable trust in Nuh, Haryana and an intricate business network, has now been directly linked to the Delhi car blast and an international module. The most shocking link is that in Al-Falah University (Faridabad) which was raided by NIA and police on November 11 on suspicion of terrorist module, its Chancellor is the same Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, who is also the chief trustee of ‘Al-Falah Charitable Trust’ running in Nuh.
According to police and TOI reports, the same university campus was being used by organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwatul-Hind. It is alleged that “charitable fronts” and “university networks” were used to raise funds, radicalize recruits and collect explosives.
Dr. Umar Nabi, the terrorist involved in the Delhi blast, and Dr. Muzammil, the leader of the Faridabad module, were both associated with Al-Falah University. This entire revelation raises serious questions on the activities of the trust and its chief Siddiqui, who already owns dozens of private companies (Al-Falah Investments, Exports, etc.) and was also named in a financial scam in 2000.
The trust is registered at Jamia Nagar address
The structure of ‘Al-Falah Charitable Trust’, which is active in the field of social service and education in Nuh, Haryana, also appears to be quite complicated. On paper, this trust is registered at Jamia Nagar address, New Delhi and runs many social schemes like Falah Water Aid, Food Aid. But when the layers of this trust were explored, under the guise of education, a big business network came to light, whose wires seem to be connected not only to Haryana-Delhi but also to Dubai (UAE).
The command of the trust is in the hands of Siddiqui
At the center of this entire network is Jawwad Ahmed Siddiqui, the chief trustee of the trust. Siddiqui is also the Chancellor of Al-Falah University. Many educational institutions like Sharika Public School, Orphanage and Madrasa are being run under the umbrella of the Trust.
Interestingly, Jawwad Siddiqui’s name is also associated with many business companies since the period 1995-96. These include about eight different companies ranging from Al-Falah Investments, Al-Falah Software, Al-Falah Consultancy to Al-Falah Exports and Energies Limited.
Name in an old financial scam
There is also an old question mark on the credibility of the trust. In the year 2000, Jawwad Siddiqui was mentioned in a report of ‘Milli Gazette’. The report said that he was arrested in connection with an alleged financial scam related to Al-Falah Investments. However, it is also a fact that after that old news, there is no other confirmed source or information publicly available on what happened next in this case or what was its outcome.
UAE connection to the network
Jawwad Siddiqui is not the only big name in this network. Usama Akhtar is also a key trustee in the trust and has been part of the governing body of Al-Falah School of Engineering. According to her LinkedIn profile, she currently lives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is involved in a textile and interior fitting business there.
Usama Akhtar’s name is also registered as a director in companies like Al-Falah Education Service LLP and MJH Developers Private Limited. Alia Siddiqui’s name is also included in the list of trustees, but not much information is available about her. Apart from these, Sufiyan Ahmed Siddiqui, despite not formally being a trustee, holds the post of director in some related companies including MJH Developers.
The name ‘Al-Falah’, but the institutions are different
It is important to clarify here that many other organizations are also working in the country and abroad under the name ‘Al-Falah’, but they have no direct connection with this trust of Nuh. Al-Falah UK (which is said to be an organization primarily of Pakistani origin), Al-Falah Chennai (which focuses on religious activities like mosque construction and Quran distribution), and Al-Falah Trust of Raichur and Jammu are all separate organizations with completely different trustees and mandates.
