New Delhi. The horrific car blast that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening shook the capital. 12 people died and more than 20 were seriously injured in this blast. Immediately after the blast, the central government deployed a strike team of 500 people to retaliate. This team is made up of highly-trained officers from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Special Cell and local police. This team includes Constable, Inspector, ACP, DCP, Additional CP, Joint CP and Special CP. Each team has been given different responsibilities so that the investigation can be done quickly and completely.
Who is behind the blast?
According to investigators, the mastermind of this suicide attack is Dr. Umar Nabi, who is a resident of Pulwama and a doctor teaching at Faridabad Medical College. According to sources, he detonated the blast while sitting in the car. Earlier, another assistant professor, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, was arrested from the same college, who is believed to be part of the Faridabad module.
Will all the CCTV footage be revealed?
More than 1,000 CCTV footage clips are being closely examined after the blast. Security agencies are trying to find out which way the car came, who else was involved, and whether any big network is behind the blast.
Will the connection between Faridabad module and Lashkar be revealed?
According to sources, the Hyundai i20 car that was used had entered Delhi from Haryana via Badarpur. So far, about 13 people have been taken under investigation. Police are investigating who was traveling in the car and on whose instructions the attack took place.

After this attack, the Central Government and Delhi Police have conducted a high-level security review. Special Cell, NSG and NIA officials are continuously engaged in the investigation.
