How the IRS officer’s daughter was brutally killed

Rahul Meena, who was employed at the victim’s house till about 6 weeks back, is the main accused in the case. He reportedly knew the layout of the house and also the routine of the parents of the victim.

Meena entered the house at around 6:20 am on Wednesday morning, fully aware that the victim would be alone at home at the time. Her parents were away at the gym at the time. He entered using a spare key and went straight to the victim’s study room on the top floor. There, he reportedly hit her on the face with a blunt object and tried to strangulate her, said the police.

After the victim lost consciousness, Meena dragged her down the stairs and took her straight to where a safe was located in the home. He tried to use the woman’s fingerprints to open it, but the plan failed as the woman was dead by then. He then broke open the safe and fled with Rs 2.5 lakh kept inside. He left the house at around 7:22 am, just before the woman’s parents returned. When the parents came back, they discovered their daughter lying dead on the floor.

Meena was later arrested from a hotel in Dwarka area. He is currently in custody and is being questioned. Investigations are on in the case and initial reports revealed that the motive of the accused was robbery.
