Did dense fog become the biggest reason for the accident?
The administration believes that the biggest reason for this horrific accident was dense fog and very low visibility. On Monday morning, the fog was so dense in many cities of Uttar Pradesh that vehicles were hardly visible on the roads. The condition in Agra was such that even the Taj Mahal was not visible. Local people said that the fog was so dense that driving on the expressway had become extremely dangerous. Was there any advance warning or traffic control regarding fog? Did the speed control and alert system prove inadequate on the expressway? At present, the administration is busy investigating the entire matter and it is being said that all possible help will be provided to the injured.
