New Delhi: On friday Two school children died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track in Nangloi. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of outer Delhi Sachin Sharma said that now trains are running smoothly and the situation is normal. Train services were interrupted for some time due to the gathering of local people and blocking railway tracks.
Sharma said, “We came to know that two children died in a train accident. Due to this, the locals gathered here, and the situation was handled after taking necessary steps and the crowd was removed. The trains are now running comfortably, and the situation is normal.”
Second case: Hearing on Gaganpreet Kaur’s bail in Dhaula Kuan BMW case postponed
Delhi Police on Saturday sought time to debate the bail plea of Gaganpreet Kaur, accused in the Dhaula Kuan BMW accident case. Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary, Finance Ministry, lost his life in this accident. The Patiala House Court postponed the hearing on the bail plea of Gaganpreet Kaur till 24 September.
Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Ankit Garg postponed the case at the request of Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Atul Srivastava, who has been appointed as Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) in the case. APP Disk Dhawan also appeared on behalf of Delhi Police. The SPP requested the court to postpone the hearing, saying that the victim was to be questioned and shown CCTV footage. Delhi Police said that they have seized CCTV footage related to pillar numbers 65 and 67.
The Delhi Police also said that the hearing on the bail petition should be postponed as the mobile phone and driving license of the accused are yet to be recovered, as they have not submitted it to the police. The defense counsel said that the mobile is with the husband of the accused. They will hand over it to the police by evening. On behalf of Gaganpreet Kaur, lawyers Pradeep Rana, Gagan and Abhishek Rana appeared.
Three applications were made to protect the CDR records of witness Gulfam, Gaganpreet Kaur and other details. The court issued a notice to the Delhi Police and listed the case for the next hearing. The application seeking to secure CCTV footage was dealt with after recording the statement of the Delhi Police. The court said on Friday that the prosecution agency could not be instructed to make a statement on the truth and content of the evidence collected by them. The court is hearing the bail plea of the accused Gaganpreet Kaur, who is an accused in the Dhaula Kuan BMW accident, in which Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Finance, lost his life.
