The Government of India has issued a new warning for Android users, which advises to avoid fake financial apps on Google Play Store. These apps look real, but their purpose is to steal your financial information.
This can threaten your privacy, data and money.
Cyber friend warns
This warning has been released by the official Twitter/X handle ‘Cyber Dost’ of the Cyber Crime Coordination Center of India working under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Cyber Dost has recently shared a list of these dangerous apps in a post and has said that many of these apps have been found to be linked to foreign enemy elements.

Warning on keeping internet on internet during phone calls
Recently, the government has given another warning, which has been told that by keeping the internet running while making a phone call, your phone can hear your conversation. A police officer told in a video how you can check which apps have been allowed to have microphone access. For this, go to Google Chrome Settings and check the microphone permission.
