Harshith Reddy’s romantic drama Deewana is no longer releasing on June 19 as originally planned. The film, which has been holding premiere shows over the past two days, is now expected to hit theatres on June 20.
The delay is reportedly due to the completion of the censorship process, with an official announcement from the makers expected soon. Directed by Sreekanth Sangishetty, the film stars Harshith Reddy and Smeha Manimegalai in the lead roles and is being distributed by Geetha Film Distributors.
Backed by producers Vasudev Koppineni and Sridevi Karyampudi, Deewana features music composed by Eswar Chand. Despite the last-minute postponement, the film has managed to generate decent buzz among audiences, and all eyes are now on its revised theatrical release.
