ICC Women’s World Cup finally got a new champion. The reign of Australia and New Zealand that had been going on for years ended and Team India became world champion for the first time. Team India made champion
The World Cup final was played in Navi Mumbai on Sunday 2 November, in which Team India batted first and scored 298 runs. Shefali Verma’s explosive innings of 87 runs had an important contribution in reaching this score. But Deepti was also no less and she made a big contribution by playing an important inning of 58 runs in the final. After this, the entire South African team was out for 246 runs and Team India won the final by 52 runs and won the title.

The player of the match of the final was Shefali Verma, who scored 87 runs and also took 2 big wickets. But Deepti, who performed well throughout the tournament, was given the Player of the Tournament award. Deepti took 5 wickets in the final and with this made a world record in her name. She became the first spinner to take 4 or more wickets in the final. In this entire tournament, Deepti scored 215 runs with the help of 3 half-centuries and then also became the number-1 bowler by taking maximum 22 wickets. For this excellent performance, Deepti was awarded the biggest award of Player of the Tournament.
