Murari, BJP MLA from Kudhani and Panchayati Raj Minister of Bihar government Kedar Prasad Gupta, was threatened to give extortion money from an unknown number on Tuesday night and warned that if the amount was not given within a week, he would have to bear the “serious consequences”.

In the application given to the police, Murari said that the call came from number 8797554886 and the caller demanded 10 lakh rupees. When the victim asked the name of the accused, he started abusing and threatening the phone. The threatening person said that one week will kill 10 lakhs or not. The threatening call came around 9.53 minutes on September 30.

Soon after the incident, Murari filed a written application to the local police and complained about the case and requested to provide security. As soon as the application was received, the police station lodged a complaint and started investigating the case.
