Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the team’s second match in IPL 2026. Just before the match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday 4th April, the captain of Mumbai Indians was out. In place of Hardik Pandya, the team’s star batsman and World Cup winning Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav took over the captaincy of the team. Hardik took command of the team in the first match but before the second match, he started struggling with fitness problems, due to which he was out of the match. In such a situation, Mumbai Indians had to make changes in their playing-11 also.

Just before this match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the news of Hardik’s exit came, which Mumbai Surprised the fans. During the toss, Suryakumar Yadav told that Hardik Pandya’s health was not good, due to which he was not fit for this match and hence he was rested from this match. In such a situation, New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner has been included in the playing-11 in place of Hardik.
Apart from Hardik, fast bowler Deepak Chahar and South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch have been given a chance in the playing-11. He has been included in the playing-11 in place of Trent Boult and spinner Allah Ghazanfar. At the same time, Delhi Capitals has not made any changes in its team and has expressed confidence only in the players who won against Lucknow. As far as the toss is concerned, Delhi captain Axar Patel won and decided to bowl first.
