The AITA Championship Series (CS-7), a premier national junior tennis event organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association (JKLTA) under the aegis of J&K Sports Council, ignited its third day at the bustling Tennis Complex, MA Stadium.

Drawing young talents from across India, the tournament underscores the region’s growing role in nurturing future tennis champions amid scenic Himalayan backdrop.
In 1st Singles Semi-final, Mahijith Kaura of Punjab outclassed Aarya Patkar of Maharashtra by 6-3, 6-1, blending precision serves with relentless baseline rallies. In the 2nd Semi-final Hardeep Soodan of J&K mirrored the dominance, overpowering Simarpreet Singh of Delhi by 6-2, 6-2. Soodan’s aggressive forehand and court coverage thrilled the home crowd, positioning him as a strong title favourite.
In 1st Doubles Semi-final Kaura of Punjb and Soodan of J&K dismantled Ridham Angral and Vinamr Gupta of J&K by 6-0, 6-0, their telepathic net play leaving opponents stunned. Meanwhile in the 2nd Semifinal, Naman Tak of J&K and Aarya Patkar of Maharashtra rallied to defeat Simarpreet Singh of Delhi and Saksham Amla of J&K by 6-3, 6-1, with Tak’s volleys proving decisive.
