Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni’s debut film, Srinivasa Mangapuram, witnessed a sharp drop at the box office on its second day, raising serious concerns about its theatrical performance.
Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the romantic action drama also marks Rasha Thadani’s debut in Telugu cinema.
According to Sacnilk, Srinivasa Mangapuram collected an estimated ₹94 lakh net in India on Day 2. This represents a decline of nearly 24.8 per cent from its opening-day collection of ₹1.25 crore.
The film was reportedly screened across 1,586 shows on its second day.
With this, the film’s total India net collection stands at approximately ₹2.19 crore, while its India gross is estimated at ₹2.45 crore.
The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of just 18.74 per cent on Day 2, indicating weak audience turnout despite the weekend advantage.
Written and directed by Ajay Bhupathi, Srinivasa Mangapuram blends romance, action and family drama. The story begins against the backdrop of Tirupati before shifting to Ballari, where family rivalries take centre stage.
With collections falling further on the second day, the film now faces an uphill battle at the box office.
