Mexican actor Dario Yazbek wrapped up his shoot for the highly anticipated film White. In the film he shared the screen with Vikrant Massey, who played Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar’s character.
During an interview with Hindustan Times, the Mexican actor talked about his experience of working with Vikrant Massey and how much he resembled Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar.
Dario Yazbek Thought Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar ‘Looked Like Vikrant Massey’
Talking about his experience of working with Vikrant, Dario shared, “When I worked with Vikrant, we did a lot of scenes together, and we were there working together for long hours. Then when I met Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar in real life, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he looks like Vikrant,'” he laughed.
Lauding Vikrant’s performance, Dario added, “Vikrant did an incredible job imitating not just Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar’s physicality and pattern of speech, but just the aura that he transmits. I was very impressed.”
Dario Yazbek on Manifesting Coming to India
The actor further revealed that last year on his birthday, he wished to do a movie in India, and his manifestation has clearly worked in his favour. Reflecting on his time in the country, he shared, “I loved it here. I have heard other people say that going to India changes your life, and I thought that it wasn’t true, but now I can confirm that it’s true. It’s been a very special trip.”
The actor revealed that his favourite part of the visit was the Indian food, and the one dish that stood out the most for him was palak paneer. “I had the best food and met the best people, and it’s been an incredible experience. I was also very fascinated with Indian films and the process of their working. Now, as I head back, I have a lot of homework to do on Indian films,” he added.
What Do We Know About White?
Helmed by Montoo Bassi, White will feature Vikrant Massey donning the persona of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar. The political thriller explores Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar’s role in intervening in one of the world’s largest internal civil conflicts, which spanned 52 years in Colombia. White is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2026.
