A woman named Chen, resident of Suzhou, China, ordered medicine online for weight loss injection. But, after using the medicine, he had to be hospitalized with serious internal injuries. According to the report, Chen spent 900 yuan, or about US$130 (11,683 Indian rupees), for a package of three injections after seeing an advertisement on social media. The advertisement claimed that after every injection there would be a weight loss of 3.5 kg. Initially, the woman injected only half the prescribed dose.
Lost weight but started vomiting blood
He lost about one kilogram of weight in the first day itself. Within four days, about 5 kg of weight was lost, but physical problems started. He started having nausea, loss of appetite and continuous vomiting. Eventually, the woman also started vomiting blood. After this he was taken to the hospital, where his complete medical examination was done. Doctors say that the inner lining of his stomach has been seriously damaged and his digestive system has also malfunctioned. Subsequent investigation revealed that the injection she had received contained illegal semaglutide.
