A similar scene was seen in Mirzamurad police station area of Varanasi on Friday, when a young man angry with his girlfriend climbed the 11000 volt high tension tower. The people standing below were holding their breath and the young man sitting above remained adamant on his insistence. This high voltage drama, which lasted for about four hours, remained a topic of discussion in the entire area.
Dispute with girlfriend became the reason for climbing the tower
Ashok Kumar Chauhan, son of Gulab Chauhan, resident of Khargrampur, had a dispute with his girlfriend over some issue. In this anger, the young man climbed the high tension tower located near the village and sat on top. When the villagers asked him to get down, he flatly refused and insisted on calling his girlfriend.

Police and administration reached the spot as soon as information was received
The news of the young man climbing the tower spread rapidly in the village. Within no time a large number of people gathered at the spot. Someone tried to convince him and someone recorded the entire incident in the mobile camera. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Mirzamurad police, outpost in-charge, electricity department team and fire brigade were informed. Seeing the threat to the life of the young man, the power supply was also stopped as a precautionary measure.
The young man came down after four hours of struggle
The police and villagers kept trying to convince the young man, but he remained adamant on his demand. After about four hours of hard work and persuasion, the young man finally came down from the tower. After this, the police took him into custody and started interrogating him.

ACP Rajatalab Ajay Kumar Srivastava said that the young man had climbed the high tension tower on the insistence of calling a woman by name. After explaining for a long time, he was brought down safely and brought to the police station. He is being interrogated in the entire matter and after that legal action will be taken.
