Released amid intense fan anticipation, the teaser strikes hard from the first frame. Set in a cemetery that erupts into chaos, the visuals open with gunfire ripping through silence. Bodies scatter. Smoke fills the air. Then Raya emerges. Calm. Centred. Completely in control. Armed with a tommy gun, he doesn’t rush or react. He commands.
Yash roars in as Raya in Toxic teaser
This reveal comes after Yash made a deliberate creative choice. Before introducing himself, he unveiled the women of Toxic: Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. That move signalled the film’s ensemble-driven approach and hinted at a layered narrative. Only after setting that foundation did the spotlight turn to its central force.
Makers drop a birthday surprise for fans of Yash
Serving as actor, co-writer and co-producer, Yash steps deeper into uncharted territory. Through Raya, he embraces complexity, darker shades and a global storytelling sensibility. The newly released video also expands on the birthday glimpse unveiled last year, offering a more immersive look at the film’s action-heavy narrative and striking world.
