Cyclone Montha Alert: According to the Meteorological Department, Cyclone Montha can become a severe cyclonic storm by the evening or night of 28 October. This storm can hit the coast of Andhra Pradesh between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam. According to the Meteorological Department, the deep depression formed in the south-eastern part of the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclonic storm on October 26 and is likely to become stronger in the next two days.
Effect of storm will be visible in 15 districts
The effect of this storm will be visible in about 15 districts. Out of these, a warning of heavy rain and strong winds has been issued in 8 districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu between October 27 and 30. In view of the danger, the Indian Army and disaster management teams are on full alert. In view of the situation, fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea so that no accident happens. Apart from this, a decision may be taken to temporarily close schools and colleges in many districts as a precautionary measure.

Effect of storm will be visible in Bihar also
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may occur in many parts of Bihar between October 29 and 31. There is a possibility of rain with strong wind and thunderstorm in some districts like Bhagalpur, Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur. There are chances of increase in cold in hilly states. There may be light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from October 27. This will cause a drop in night temperatures and the effect of winter is expected to increase.
