New Delhi: Night City’s about to get another tech overhaul. CD Projekt Red is rolling out Update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s dropping on July 18, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow later, though the exact date’s still under wraps.
It’s not just bug fixes and balance changes this time. This update is bringing brand-new features, like AutoDrive, self-driving Delamain cabs, and even a native Mac version for Apple silicon users. If you’ve been itching to cruise Night City without touching the controls, now’s your moment.
What’s new in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3?
The update is stacked with quality-of-life tweaks, visual upgrades, and gameplay changes. But here’s what really stands out:
New vehicles and side jobs
Four fresh vehicles are rolling into the game, each with side jobs to unlock them:
- Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru: Complete The Hunt and The Beast In Me.
- Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred”: Finish a string of quests like The Beast in Me variants, Transmission, and Search and Destroy.
- Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa: Buy one Yaiba, complete three AUTOFIXER purchases, and clear You Play with Fire….
- Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila: Buy it directly from AUTOFIXER.
Even if you mess up a mission, you might still be able to grab the rides via AUTOFIXER.
AutoDrive and cinematic mode
Your car can now drive itself. Press and hold H (PC) or Left Stick (consoles) to activate AutoDrive. If you’re feeling lazy, it’ll even take you on a chill ride if you haven’t set a destination. Want a movie-style view of your trip? Hit Q (PC) or D-Pad Right (console) for the new cinematic camera.
Delamain cabs on demand
Finished the “Don’t Lose Your Mind” quest? You can now call up a self-driving Delamain cab from your vehicle list, just like a futuristic Uber.
Apple Silicon and HDR10+ support
Mac gamers on Apple silicon finally get to experience Cyberpunk natively via the Mac App Store and other platforms. There’s also expanded support for AMD FSR 3.1, Intel XeSS 2.0, and HDR10+ Gaming for compatible setups.
Photo mode gets flashier
You’ll now be able to summon 27 new NPCs for photo shoots, swap between V’s saved wardrobe outfits, and adjust how NPCs look at the camera. A new Color Balance tab and extra stickers, filters, and frames turn every screenshot into a Night City postcard.
Other fixes and improvements
- New toggle for aim down sights
- More cyberware capacity shard drops
- Audio and texture glitches ironed out
- Mouse settings auto-adjust UI
- DLSS tooltip fixes and FSR 4 support (driver needed)
When can you download?
Patch 2.3 goes live on July 18, 2025, with the download expected to drop by 10:30 AM IST. Mac users can access the new version via the Mac App Store or re-download it via GOG, Steam, or Epic Games.
And yes, you can finally tell Johnny Silverhand to go away when he pops up in the passenger seat. Small win, but satisfying.
