Lucknow. The Khadi Mahotsav-2025, going on from November 21 at the Central Sanskrit University, Gomti Nagar, is attracting a lot of people. Long queues of buyers remained at the stalls even on the fourth day of the festival. On Monday, a large number of people arrived and shopped from various stalls.
Promotion of indigenous products and traditional arts
This festival is becoming an important medium to promote indigenous products, traditional art and local self-employment. Here, Khadi textiles, handicrafts and products made by self-help groups are getting good response. Under the leadership of Yogi government, handicraftsmen and women’s groups have got a platform to showcase their skills. This event is giving strong direction to the goal of self-reliant India.
Expansion of Khadi Mahotsav linked to government schemes
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many schemes have been implemented to promote Khadi village industries, handicrafts and traditional arts in the state. Thousands of youth have got employment with the help of One District One Product (ODOP), PM FME scheme and micro industry policies of the state. Khadi Mahotsav-2025 is a comprehensive showcase of all these efforts, which is providing market expansion, new technology and new business opportunities to the entrepreneurs.
