UP Crop Damage Rain Hailstorm: On the damage caused to Rabi crops due to untimely rain and hailstorm in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials to immediately conduct a survey and give compensation to the farmers. The government has taken special steps to provide relief money, crop insurance and help to the affected families.

Rabi crops have suffered a lot due to untimely rains, hailstorms and fire incidents at some places in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. In view of this situation, Chief Minister Yogi has instructed the officials to provide immediate relief and make an accurate assessment of the loss. In a high-level review meeting held on Wednesday morning, the Chief Minister said that in such a situation, it is natural for farmers to be worried and the government stands with the farmers in every situation.

Every affected farmer will be surveyed

The Chief Minister directed the officials to conduct an accurate and fair survey of the farmers whose crops have been damaged. For this, Revenue Department, Agriculture Department and other related departments will work together. He said that a survey should be done at the district level soon and the report should be sent to the government, so that there is no delay in giving the relief amount.

Quick settlement of crop insurance claims

The Chief Minister has also given instructions to increase coordination with insurance companies. He said that the officers themselves should contact the farmers and provide them full benefits of the crop insurance scheme, so that the losses can be compensated soon. The government’s aim is to provide financial assistance to the affected farmers as soon as possible.

Districts will get relief amount immediately

The Chief Minister directed the Revenue Department to immediately provide adequate funds to the districts from the State Disaster Relief Fund. Also, the District Magistrate should ensure that farmers are given relief through a transparent and fast process. Relief camps will be set up wherever needed and farmers will also be helped through market committees.

Assistance in fire incidents within 24 hours

The Chief Minister has also given special instructions regarding incidents of arson. He said that if there is loss of life or loss of animals in any incident, relief amount should be given to the affected family within 24 hours. Besides, eligible farmers should also be given the benefit of Farmer Accident Insurance Scheme immediately.

Those whose houses were burnt will get housing

The government has also decided that families whose houses were destroyed or damaged in the fire will be provided houses under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana on priority basis. The Chief Minister clearly warned the officials that any kind of negligence in relief and rehabilitation work will not be tolerated and action will be taken against the responsible officials.

Government stands with farmers

At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister said that this is a difficult time, but the state government stands strongly with every farmer and his family. The priority of the government is that every affected farmer should get help as soon as possible and he should be supported to recover from this loss.
