“Create a relationship, then I will write a complaint … Rape victim starts talking dirty to the minor, action is done – News Himachali News Himachali

A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a minor Muslim girl, who had reached the police with a complaint of rape with herself, had to face a cruelty and shameful deal instead of getting justice.

Now the police is in action mode after the disclosure of the case. The accused Daroga and the associate soldier have been suspended in the case.

What did the inspector do?

The victim says that when she went to Rampur to file a complaint about her rape, she was sent to Milak police station. In Milak police station, Udayveer Singh listened to him, but after that he said to him, “Have to inquire something, give your mobile number.” The girl gave the number in compulsion.

At night, the same inspector started making messages and video calls to the victim. On the call, the inspector said, “If you make a relationship with me, then only I will file your complaint.” The victim got nervous after hearing all these things. He told the whole thing to his mother the next morning. The mother immediately raised the case in front of higher officials.

Trying to erase evidence

As soon as the inspector came to know that the girl had complained, she sent her fellow soldier Sarfaraz to the girl’s house. The victim alleges that, ‘Sarfaraz forcefully started watching my mobile phone. He deleted all the chats of the inspector and our conversation. All this was done with the intention of eradicating evidence and suppressing the case.

Police action

As soon as the case came to light, Rampur police came into action. Preliminary investigation of the victim’s complaint was done by the Milak jurisdiction. In the investigation, things were found to be correct, after which Superintendent of Police Rampur has suspended Daroga Udayveer Singh and constable Sarfaraz with immediate effect. Police has informed that necessary legal action has now been started in the case.

The victim’s statement of this entire case is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Anger and resentment are being seen among the people. People are asking, now the daughters are no longer safe in police stations? When the protectors become eaters, where do women go?

If you are also a victim of any injustice, do this:

Call 112 or 1090 (Women’s Helpline) immediately contact trusted women’s organizations. Make written complaint to the District Magistrate (DM) or Superintendent of Police (SP). Keep the evidence safe (messages, call recording etc.) Keep information about your rights – POCSO Act, sections of IPC such as 354, 166A

This incident has once again raised questions on the police system. When a minor girl goes to ask for justice and give her such conditions, then it is a shame for the society.
