Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in Indore that the cow shelters of the state will be developed as ‘cow temples’. He praised the promotion of natural farming, doubling of assistance for the nutrition of cows and the Swadeshi Gobar Diya project.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that with the cooperation of society and government, all the cow shelters of the state will be developed as ‘cow temples’. All necessary facilities will be provided in these cow shelters. The state government will provide all possible assistance to make cow shelters self-reliant.
He said that farmers doing natural farming in the state will also be encouraged. Farmers will be given additional amount along with the support price on the produce produced in natural way.
The Chief Minister said that cow shelters will now be operated in a systematic manner by the urban bodies. He said that the destitute cows roaming in the open will no longer be kept safe in cages but in cow sheds, so that they can be taken better care of.
Chief Minister spoke at Govardhan Puja program in Indore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated as the chief guest in the Govardhan Puja program organized at the Silk Center Gau-shala located in Khajuria of Hatod tehsil of Indore district. He performed Govardhan Puja amid Vedic chanting.
‘Cow’s milk is like nectar’- CM Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that cow’s milk is like nectar, which contains maximum nutrients. By consuming it, diseases are cured and the person remains healthy and happy. He said that mother cows provide dual nourishment – to their calf and also to the human race. Since ancient times, cows were reared in every ashram and the first bread in homes is prepared for the mother cow.
Honor to girl Mehak Sharma
The Chief Minister appreciated the attractive Govardhan Parvat built at the venue and honored the girl Mehak Sharma who decorated it. He was given an incentive amount of Rs 5 thousand and the Chief Minister also announced an additional Rs 11 thousand.
Inspection of the arena and communication with wrestlers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the arena built in the cowshed, watched wrestling matches and interacted with the wrestlers. He said that through such Akharas our youth will become like “Krishna and Balram”. The Chief Minister assured that modern mat wrestling facility will also be added in this arena.
Kailash Vijayvargiya appealed for cow shelter service
Urban Administration and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that public representatives should also provide financial support in the development of cow shelters. He said that 33 crore Gods and Goddesses reside in Mother Cow and serving her is the biggest religion. Vijayvargiya suggested that people should celebrate their children’s birthday by serving cows and work towards building self-reliant cow shelters from cow dung and urine.
Assistance amount increased for nutrition of cows
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that the Chief Minister has doubled the amount of nutrition per cow. This will strengthen both cow rearing and promotion. He said that the Silk Center cow shed will be developed as an ideal cow shed.
Indore mayor informed about expansion of cow shelter
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said that the Municipal Corporation is continuously working on the expansion of the cow shed. Earlier there were 630 cows, which have now increased to more than 2300. He said that a modern hospital and ICU center has also been built in the cow shed, where sick cows are treated.
Public participation increased in cow service
Swami Achyutanand Ji Maharaj said that due to the efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, public participation in cow service has increased across the state. In places like Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur, thousands of cows are being reared with public cooperation. The silk center cow shed produces 100 to 150 liters of milk daily.
Appreciation of indigenous lamps made of cow dung
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspected the indigenous lamps made of cow dung at the stall organized in the program. He said that this initiative is an important step towards environmental protection and strengthening the local economy. About two lakh units of these lamps were sold in Indore on Diwali, which encouraged local self-reliance.
