Couple dragged from car, brutally assaulted in Rajasthan’s Dausa; video sparks outrage

New Delhi: A couple was brutally assaulted in Dausa, Rajasthan, on Monday, April 6. The couple was dragged out of the car, where the girlfriend was dragged by her hair and the boyfriend was severely beaten.

According to the reports, the attack was carried out by the boyfriend’s first wife and her family members. The video clip of the attack went viral on social media, showing dozens of people assaulting a couple in a car.

The incident took place near Dhole Ghumti in the Baswa police station area. Several people stopped the car and forcibly pulled the man and woman out and started to beat them. A woman is seen dragging another girlfriend by her hair on the road, while others are beating the man.

The victim is identified as Kailash Meena, and the preliminary reports suggest that he was married to the accused but had divorced from her and was living separately. Kailash was travelling with his girlfriend when his first wife and her family member spotted them.

The Baswa Police Station officer, Hanuman Sahay, confirmed that neither party has filed a written complaint in this case. However,
