Lokesh Kanagaraja has directed the film and Kalanidhi Maran has made it under the banner of Sun Pictures. Its budget has been around 350-400 crores. That is, about 40-45 percent of the film budget has recovered. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also plays an important role of actors like Nagarjuna, Sobin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj, Upendra and Aamir Khan.
