Forensic Dr. Bhupesh Kumar Sharma of SGT University Gurugram says that the use of non-stick utensils becomes more harmful when its layer is scratched. Because sometimes using nonstick utensils for a long time, or using a steel spoon, the layer gets scratched, due to which microscopic particles and these reach our body with food. This can cause problems like fever, body ache as well as hormonal imbalance.

Experts say that even if you are using nonstick utensils, it is very important to keep some things in mind. Like buy nonstick utensils of a good brand instead of local ones. Apart from this, if the layer of the vessel is scratched then remove it. Always use wooden or silicone spoons for nonstick utensils.
