This tournament will be held from 7 February to 8 March next year on 8 grounds (5 in India and 3 in Sri Lanka). Apart from Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, World Cup matches will be played in Colombo and Kandy. There will be a total of 55 matches in the tournament.

This prestigious tournament of instant cricket consisting of 20 teams, which also includes debutant Italy, has been divided into 4 groups of 5 each, in which 8 teams will reach the Super-Eight stage. After this, 4 teams will reach the semi-finals, which will be played in Kolkata or Colombo and Mumbai. While the final match will be played in Ahmedabad or Colombo, it will depend on the qualification of Pakistan. If Pakistan reaches the final then this title match will be held in Colombo.
