Consistent performers: 51 equity mutual funds deliver over 15% CAGR in 3,5, and 7 years

Around 51 equity have offered over 15% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven years. 171 schemes have completed seven years of existence in the market.

Among these 51 schemes, 11 were midcap funds, eight large & midcap funds, and smallcap funds each, five value and flexi cap funds each, four ELSS funds, three contra and multi cap funds each, and two focused and large cap funds each.

The contra category has three schemes and all three schemes have offered over 15% CAGR in the mentioned period. SBI Contra Fund, the largest and oldest contra fund, gave 21.47% CAGR in three years, 36.53% in five years and 18.07% in seven years.

Four ELSS funds offered over 15% CAGR in the mentioned horizons. Bank of India ELSS Tax Saver and DSP ELSS Tax Saver Fund gave more than 15% CAGR in the last three, five and seven years. SBI Long Term Equity Fund, the oldest ELSS fund, gave 23.27%, 31.27%, and 16.85% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven year,s respectively.

Around five flexi-cap funds delivered over 15% CAGR in the said time periods. Franklin India Flexi Cap Fund and featured in the list of schemes that have offered over 15% CAGR in the mentioned time periods.

HDFC Focused 30 Fund and ICICI Pru Focused Equity Fund gave more than 15% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven years.

Bandhan Core Equity Fund and DSP Equity Opportunities Fund featured in the list of schemes that delivered over 15% CAGR in the mentioned periods. Kotak Equity Opp Fund gave 16.59%, 26.67%, and 15.79% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven years, respectively.

Quant Large & Mid Cap Fund and SBI Large & Midcap Fund gave over 15% CAGR in all the mentioned periods.

Two large cap funds – ICICI Pru Bluechip Fund and Nippon India Large Cap Fund – delivered more than 15% CAGR in the above-mentioned time periods.

There were around 11 mid cap funds in the list of schemes that have offered more than 15% CAGR in the above mentioned three periods. the largest mid cap fund, delivered over 15% CAGR in the said time periods.

,the second largest mid cap fund, gave 18.26% CAGR in the last three years, 31.93% in the last five years, and 17.15% in the last seven years. Mahindra Manulife Mid Cap Fund and featured in the list.

Quant Mid Cap Fund offered 17.02%, 36.31%, and 20.35% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven years respectively. ICICI Pru Multicap Fund, Mahindra Manulife Multi Cap Fund, and Nippon India Multi Cap Fund gave over 15% CAGR in the said periods.

HDFC Small Cap Fund delivered over 15% CAGR in the mentioned time periods. Nippon India Small Cap Fund, the largest small cap fund based on assets managed, offered 20.66%, 40.64%, and 19.37% CAGR in the last three, five, and seven years respectively.

Quant Small Cap Fund and SBI Small Cap Fund also featured in the above said list and gave over 15% CAGR in all the three said periods.There were five value funds in the list which offered over 15% CAGR in the said time periods.

In the last three years, Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund offered the highest return of around 27.27% among all these 51 schemes. In the last five and seven years, Quant Small Cap Fund offered the highest returns among all the mentioned schemes.
