Before Bihar elections 2025, the Congress will hold a CWC meeting in Patna on 24 September. It will include top leaders including Kharge, Rahul and Priyanka.
Patna: The Congress has played a big bet just before the Bihar assembly elections 2025. The party has announced to call an extended meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) in Patna on 24 September. It will include big leaders from across the country including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
Legendary will gather in Patna
By holding the CWC meeting in Patna, the Congress wants to give a clear message that Bihar is a priority for it and the party is going to contest this election seriously. On the next day of the meeting i.e. 25 September, the big leaders of Congress will go door -to -door to distribute election manifesto across the state.
Priyanka Gandhi’s entry
After the meeting, on 26 September, Priyanka Gandhi will address meetings and women’s dialogues in Patna and Khagaria. The Congress -Rajad alliance has promised to give women two and a half thousand rupees a month. The Congress wants to make Priyanka Gandhi the face of half the population. Prior to this, she has also joined the voter Adhikar Yatra of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.
Election issues will be at the center
In the CWC meeting, the issue of special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list will be prominent. The Congress alleges that votes are being stolen with the connivance of BJP and Election Commission. Along with this, proposals like increasing the limit of caste census and reservation can also be passed in the meeting.
Consent on seats
According to sources, the RJD and Congress have roughly agreed with the seats. Congress can get around 60 seats. In the last election, the party won only 19 by contesting 70 seats. This time the party wants a strong presence in the alliance. The final sharing of seats in the India alliance is expected to be final by the end of September.
Hyderabad to Patna
It is worth noting that earlier the Congress had a CWC meeting in Hyderabad in 2023 before the Telangana assembly elections. Now after meeting in Patna, the party wants to directly give a message to challenge the Modi -Nitish pair. The Congress has been marginalized for a long time in Bihar politics. But the CWC meeting, Priyanka Gandhi’s active campaign and respectable seats in the alliance show that this time the party is in the fray with full power. The Congress now wants to prove that it has the ability to become the axis of the coalition, not only a partner.
