Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday. It was a courtesy call, but during this, the ongoing ‘Kisan Kalyan Varsh’ activities in the state and the steps being taken for the farmers were discussed in detail. The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that many schemes are running simultaneously in Madhya Pradesh to increase the income of farmers, strengthen agriculture and improve the economy of villages.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the state government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is paying special attention to the development of these four sections: farmers, women, poor and youth. Under this thinking, ‘Kisan Kalyan Varsh’ is being celebrated in Madhya Pradesh, in which work is being done by connecting many departments related to agriculture together.

16 departments are running the campaign together

The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that about 16 departments of the state are working together under the Farmers Welfare Year. These include departments like agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture. Efforts are being made to provide more benefits to the farmers by combining the schemes of all these departments. According to Mohan Yadav, the objective of this initiative is not limited to agriculture only, but is also to strengthen the rural economy. The aim of the government is to increase the income of farmers and create new employment opportunities in villages.

Prime Minister appreciated the efforts

During his stay in New Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also visited the Parliament House. During this, he met many MPs and discussed issues related to development of Madhya Pradesh, Centre-State cooperation and public interest. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously busy in accelerating the development works. Special attention is being given to strengthening farming and rural economy through Kisan Kalyan Varsh, so that the farmers of the state can get direct benefits from it.
