- Forbesganj: Congress’s Manoj Biswas won by just 221 votes.
- Ramgarh: The BSP candidate defeated the BJP by 30 votes—the smallest margin in history.
- Chanpatia: Congress won back this seat.
- Goh: RJD’s Amarendra Kumar won by 767 votes.
- Dhaka: The most exciting contest – RJD snatched the seat by just 178 votes.
These defeats show that the competition was as tough on the ground as it looked.
