IPL 2026 Amidst the excitement, ICC has announced the Player of the Month nominees for March. This time the contest is between Jasprit Bumrah and Sanju Samson. Apart from him, South African wicketkeeper batsman Connor Easterhuysen is the third nominee for the award. Bumrah and Samson have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month for March on the basis of their performance in the T20 World Cup 2026. The South African wicketkeeper has been kept in the nominee list due to his performance in the T20 series against New Zealand.

Sanju Samson became the Player of the Tournament in T20 World Cup 2025. He had scored an unbeaten 97 runs in the important match of Super-8 against West Indies. After that he played an inning of 89 runs in the semi-final against England. After this, Sanju Samson’s performance in the final was also strong. Samson had scored 275 runs in the three matches at a strike rate of 199.27. During this period he also became back to back player of the match. Apart from this, he also managed to make a jump in the top 20 rankings of ICC T20 batsmen.
Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah was the most successful bowler in the T20 World Cup 2026. He took the maximum of 14 wickets in 8 matches of the tournament at an average of 12.42. His best performance was taking 4 wickets for 15 runs. Whereas his economy was 6.21. Jasprit Bumrah became the player of the match in the final of the tournament, where he gave 15 runs in 4 overs against New Zealand.
