India CWG 2026 Day 4 Live Updates: Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu struck gold for India on Day 4 of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, setting a Games record total of 190 kg to win the women’s 48 kg final.
Chanu, a two-time former champion, claimed her third consecutive CWG gold medal after successfully lifting 105 kg in the clean and jerk. She had earlier lifted 85 kg – also a Games record – in the snatch to put herself in a commanding position. Chanu’s performance sealed India’s second medal of the day in weightlifting, following Chanambam Rishikanta Singh’s silver in the men’s 60 kg event.
