CM Yogi Adityanath inspected Vindhyavasini University in Mirzapur. He gave instructions to complete the construction by May 31, maintain quality and start employment related courses.

Lucknow/Mirzapur. UP CM Yogi Adityanath inspected the construction work of Maa Vindhyavasini University in Mirzapur on March 17. During this, he also planted a Maulishree sapling in the campus and took stock of the academic and administrative block. The Chief Minister directed the officials that the construction of the university should be completed by May 31 at all costs. Along with this, he said that the roads inside the campus should be constructed soon, better arrangement of drinking water should be ensured and all the work should be completed on time and with quality. He gave strict instructions to the construction agency that any kind of negligence will not be accepted.

Employment related courses for youth

The Chief Minister told the university administration that such courses should be started here which will connect the youth with employment along with skill development. He emphasized on making education practical and useful, especially keeping in mind the youth of Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. Besides, instructions were given to take action from the government level on the proposal sent by the university for recruitment of Class III employees.

Special emphasis on quality and timeliness

During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the construction works and said that a university is a temple of education, there will be no compromise on its quality. He said that this university is being built to fulfill the long standing demand of the people of Mirzapur.

Emphasis on plantation and increasing greenery

The Chief Minister planted Maulishree sapling in the university campus and directed the administration to plant saplings on a large scale in the coming rainy season. He said that saplings should be planted in collaboration with the Forest Department and teachers, students and staff should all participate in this campaign as much as possible, so that greenery can be increased in the campus and surrounding areas.

On the arrival of the Chief Minister, Vice Chancellor Prof. Shobha Gaur welcomed him with a bouquet and memento. Many prominent people were present on this occasion, including

Ashish Patel (Cabinet Minister), Ramashankar Patel (Madihan MLA), Principal Secretary (Higher Education) Mahendra Aggarwal, Commissioner Rajesh Prakash, District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar. Apart from these, officers and employees of the university were also present.
