Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Diwali. Said – This festival is a symbol of peace, unity and harmony. The glory of Lord Shri Ram is spreading all over the world through the festival of lights in Ayodhya.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of the festival of lights, Diwali. He has prayed to Lord Shri Ram for the happiness, prosperity and auspicious life of all the citizens. In his greeting message, the Chief Minister said that the festival of Diwali is a major festival of India’s eternal tradition, which gives the message of peace, unity and harmony.
Diwali is celebrated to commemorate Lord Ram’s arrival in Ayodhya.
Yogi Adityanath said that the tradition of celebrating Diwali has been going on for thousands of years to commemorate the arrival of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and the establishment of Ramrajya. He said, “On this day, devotees celebrate the victory of light over darkness and truth over untruth by lighting lamps in their homes.”

Ayodhya’s glory spread across the world through ‘Deepotsav’
The Chief Minister said that it is the good fortune of all of us that Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, is located in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has organized a grand ‘Deepotsav’ to re-establish the traditional festival of Diwali in Ayodhya, thereby making the world community aware of the historical and religious glory of Ayodhya.
Yogi Adityanath in his message appealed to the people of the state to celebrate Diwali with peace, love and mutual brotherhood. He said that festivals strengthen the feeling of harmony and unity in the society.
