CM Yogi Adityanath in Lakhimpur: In Lakhimpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave land rights to 331 Hindu families who came from Bangladesh and announced to change the name of Miyanpur to ‘Ravindra Nagar’. Accusing the opposition parties of appeasement politics, he said that now the displaced families are getting their rights.

Lakhimpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday, April 11 gave land rights (Bhumidhari Adhikar Patra) to 331 Hindu families who came from Bangladesh. During this, he said that due to its actions, Pakistan first got India divided and now it itself is moving towards getting divided into pieces. Attacking Congress, Samajwadi Party and TMC, he said that Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities have suffered the most due to the politics of appeasement. During this, the Chief Minister also announced to change the name of Miyanpur to ‘Ravindra Nagar’ and said that now no place will be identified with the symbols of slavery. In this program, 213 development projects worth Rs 417 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid. Besides, checks were also given to many people.

Thousands of families got rights

CM Yogi said that about 7,000 families i.e. about 35,000 people have been given land rights in Lakhimpur Kheri. After Palia, now 1,000 families in Mohammadi will also get this benefit. This scheme is for those families who came to India from Bangladesh between 1947 and 1971. He said that India got divided because of Pakistan and later Pakistan also got divided into pieces. But the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians living there had to suffer the punishment because there is no place for other religions there.

Congress did not give rights – CM Yogi

The Chief Minister said that Bangladesh did not accept these people and occupied their land. Even after coming to India, Congress did not give them rights. They definitely took votes from them, but did not give them ownership rights. Even to hide his identity, the village was named Miyanpur, although there is not a single ‘Mian’ there.

CM Yogi said that now this place will be known as ‘Ravindra Nagar’, which is named after the creator of the national anthem, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. This year, 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ are being completed and on this occasion people have got the rights to their land.

Today they have got rights due to the efforts of local public representatives.

CM Yogi said that the partition of 1947 was the result of division of the society. Those who divide the society in the name of caste and religion betray the country. He said that earlier 1,031 families had settled here, which has now increased to more than 5,000, but they did not get rights. Prime Minister Modi gave this right by making a law, but Congress and Samajwadi Party opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

CM Yogi said that when the country celebrates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, then the Samajwadi Party glorifies Jinnah. He said that SP, Congress and TMC opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act and there was a long protest in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh. But the government did not step back and today people are getting rights because of the same law.

Chief Minister Adityanath said that the process of making 1,031 families settled in Lakhimpur Kheri, Gola Gokarnath, Dhaurahara and Mohammadi the owners of 542 hectares of land is underway. About 65,000 displaced Hindus and Sikhs are living in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rampur and Bijnor, to whom the government is committed to provide rights. CM Yogi said that in this program, projects worth Rs 417 crore were inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid, while in February 2025, projects worth Rs 1,622 crore were started. He said that the real name of Lakhimpur is ‘Lakshmipur’, which is a symbol of prosperity. Here a corridor is being built like Kashi Vishwanath Dham, 65% of which has been completed. This will increase tourism and employment.

The Chief Minister said that earlier the identity of the state was linked to hooliganism and riots, but now it is linked to development and law and order. Relief for farmers

CM Yogi said that the government has given help in giving recognition to the Ketaki flower growing in this area. Mentha, sugarcane, paddy and wheat are cultivated here. Compensation on crop loss, 24-hour assistance on human loss, immediate relief on animal loss and housing scheme on house collapse are being provided.
