Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took Indian politics to new heights for six decades and linked it with values and ideals. He said that there can be differences in politics, but moving forward with one’s identity and dignity is the biggest lesson of Atal ji.
Atal ji was a poet, writer and visionary politician.
The Chief Minister said that Atal ji was not only a politician, but he was also a poet, writer, journalist and visionary leader. His struggle, determination and inspiration are clearly reflected in his poems. The entire nation regarded him as a guardian, guide and he was respected throughout the world. Atal ji was the enemy of Indian politics.
CM Yogi’s address in Atal Geet Ganga program
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the ‘Atal Geet Ganga’ program on Wednesday in the presence of Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh. On this occasion, the guests released the booklet ‘Atal Mahanayak’ and also inaugurated its first e-book. This program was organized on the eve of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
There was no visionary leader like Atal ji.
Referring to Atal ji’s famous line “Haar Nahi Manunga, Rar Nahi Thanunga”, CM Yogi said that his poems inspire every citizen in times of crisis. He said that Atal ji was a poet at heart, but he worked for the country with equally strong willpower. Through rural development, urban connectivity, public support system and poor welfare schemes, he realized the resolution of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay’s ‘Antyodaya’.
“Fight BJP, not India”: Atal ji’s message
The Chief Minister said that when Atal ji took charge of BJP, the circumstances were not favourable. Yet he had said with full confidence – “The darkness will end, the sun will rise”. He had clearly told the opposition to “fight BJP, not India”. Only a visionary and nationalistic leader can say this statement.
Atal ji’s poems are an inspiration for every Indian.
Referring to Atal ji’s poem “My Lord, never give me this height…”, CM Yogi said that this is a life mantra for every worker, every thinking family and every Indian. He told that on the occasion of Atal ji’s centenary festival, the Uttar Pradesh government also organized special competitions in schools and colleges.
PM Modi will inaugurate Rashtra Prerna Sthal on Thursday
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Lucknow on Thursday and inaugurate the Rashtra Prerna Sthal. 65-65 feet high bronze statues of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay and revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee have been installed at this site. Nationalist ideology will be shown through the digital museum.
Features of Rashtra Prerna Sthal
CM Yogi said that Rashtra Prerna Sthal has an open theater with a capacity of three thousand spectators. There is a facility for gathering of two lakh people together here. Parking arrangements have also been made for four thousand buses and four wheelers. This will be the largest public event venue of Lucknow.

Program coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak welcomed the guests. Poet Kumar Vishwas recited a solo poem in ‘Atal Geet Ganga’. On this occasion, many dignitaries including former BJP state president Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi, outgoing state president Bhupendra Chaudhary, MP Brijlal, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Legislative Council member Mukesh Sharma and State Women Commission Chairperson Babita Singh Chauhan were present.
