Kanya Vivah Sahayata Yojana: Yogi government has opened its treasury for crores of laborers of Uttar Pradesh. Whose money will be given for everything from the birth of their child to marriage and treatment. The amount of Girl Marriage Assistance Scheme has been increased.
Uttar Pradesh News: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision in the interest of construction workers. There has been a significant increase in the amount of financial assistance in the Girl Marriage Assistance Scheme run by the State Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Now financial assistance of ₹ 65,000 will be given for normal marriage, ₹ 75,000 for inter-caste marriage and ₹ 85,000 per couple for group marriage. Apart from this, ₹15,000 will be made available separately for the event.
CM Yogi is fulfilling the duty of Kanyadaan
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath believes that labor families are the backbone of the society. It is the human duty of the government to provide financial support in the marriage of their daughters. The government is trying to ensure that any labor daughter can start a new chapter of her life without any worries. In this sequence, complete arrangements for mass marriage programs will be made by the Labor Department and the Board so that the labor families do not face any kind of inconvenience. All arrangements for security, accommodation, transportation and food in the wedding ceremony will be ensured by the department.
1.88 crore workers will be benefited
Board Secretary Pooja Yadav said that the objective of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is to provide the benefits of the schemes to every registered worker. The increase in girl marriage assistance amount will provide direct and concrete benefits to labor families. At present more than 1.88 crore workers are registered with the board.
Convenient and free application process
Registered workers can become eligible for the schemes by paying only ₹20 lump sum registration fee and ₹20 annual contribution. The application process is completely online and free — workers can apply through the www.upbocwboard.in website or through Jan Seva Kendras.
Other welfare schemes run by the Board for workers
▪️Birth Assistance: ₹ 20,000 on the birth of a son, ₹ 25,000 on the birth of a daughter and a fixed deposit of ₹ 2.50 lakh.
▪️Education Assistance: Funding ranging from ₹2,000 to ₹1,00,000 from Class 1 to higher education and full fee reimbursement for professional courses.
▪️Critical Illness Assistance: Reimbursement of medical expenses.
▪️Pension Assistance: Financial assistance of ₹ 1,000 per month as per eligibility.
▪️Disability/Death Assistance: Financial assistance ranging from ₹2,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 is provided to the dependents of the worker.
Till now, an amount of ₹ 6336.61 crore has been provided by the Board under various schemes on 18,94,797 applications.
