Up free free bus service raksha bandhan: The free bus travel facility being provided to mothers and sisters on the occasion of Rakshabandhan in Uttar Pradesh has become a social tradition in the last 8 years. In this scheme launched on the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 1,23,30,194 women have so far taken advantage of, whose travel costs have been borne by the state government as tickets as tickets.

Free bus service started since then came to power

This facility started in the year 2017, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced the facility of free travel to the mothers and sisters of the state as gifts on a holy festival like Rakshabandhan. The women of the state have been serving free bus for the last several years

For the last several years, the impact of this scheme has increased continuously. In 2017, where only 11 lakh women could take advantage of this service, by 2024 this number reached about 20 lakhs. However, in these years, women took the most benefits in 2023, when more than 29 lakh mothers and sisters joined this resolution of free journey. At the same time, in 2022, more than 22 lakh sisters took advantage of this initiative of the government. This scheme of the Yogi government has become a medium to make family and emotional festival like Rakshabandhan not only as a government service. This initiative reflects the sensitivity of the government on the one hand, on the other hand, there is also a strong step towards connecting women to the mainstream.
