Raipur News: In Bhilai, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the development works worth Rs 241.50 crore and announced Rs 20 crore for the new Municipal Corporation building. He informed that Atal Digital Service has started in 1460 panchayats of the state.
Bhilai development projects: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the state capital region will benefit the entire zone including Raipur, Durg, Bhilai and Rajnandgaon. This will speed up development work and expand urban facilities. He said that all the promises of Atal Vishwas letter released in the election of urban bodies will be fulfilled one by one. The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone ceremony of development works worth Rs 241.50 crore for the Municipal Corporation area in Bhilai. On this occasion, he announced Rs 20 crore for the new office building of Bhilai Municipal Corporation.
‘Atal digital service started in 1460 gram panchayats’
Vishnudev Sai said that the government is giving full support for the development of urban areas. Urban facilities are being expanded rapidly. He said that good governance and convergence department has been formed in the state to ensure good governance and accountability. The administration is being made digital and transparent in the entire state, which is directly benefiting the citizens. He informed that Atal Digital Services Centers have started in 1460 gram panchayats of the state. In the next six months, 5 thousand more panchayats will be linked to this scheme. Atal Digital Services Centers will be started in all gram panchayats of Chhattisgarh on 24 April 2026, Panchayati Raj Day.

Women benefit from Mahtari Vandan Yojana
The Chief Minister said that our government has completed most of the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last 20 months. For the economic advancement of farmers, purchases 21 quintals of paddy per acre and payment at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal has been ensured. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women are being given financial assistance of one thousand rupees per month, due to which more than 70 lakh women are benefiting. Under the Deendayal Upadhyay Bhumheen Krishi Mazdoor Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 is being given to landless agricultural laborers annually. So far more than 22 thousand devotees have traveled to Ayodhya under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana.

After the formation of the government in the state, seven thousand crore rupees were sanctioned for the development of all urban bodies in the last one year. Under the Nagarothan scheme, funds are being given for planned and planned development in urban bodies. In the last 18 months, Rs 470 crore has been sanctioned to Municipal Corporation Bhilai alone for development works. He said that the government is committed to make cities clean and beautiful. The result of this is that seven urban bodies of the state have received the National Cleanliness Award for the first time. At the same time, 58 cities of Chhattisgarh have been rewarded in cities with less than 20 thousand population.

Disabled people were given motorized tricycles and wheelchairs
On this occasion, the Chief Minister provided a shield for the cleanliness ward to Councilor Mrs. Smriti Dodke. 9 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were given home entrance certificate, three beneficiaries of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, motorized tricycles and wheelchairs were awarded to the disabled. Women self-help groups were awarded the amount of funds for economic activities and a certificate to the Radharani women self-help group under the Women for Tree Scheme. The program was also addressed by Vaishali Nagar MLA Rikesh Sen and Municipal Corporation Mayor Neeraj Pal. Many public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present on the occasion including MLA Lalit Chandrakar, former Assembly Speaker Mr. Prem Prakash Pandey, former minister Ramsheela Sahu and former MLA Labhchand Bafna.
