CM Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the social building ‘Olekh’ at the Nuakhai Milan ceremony of Dhurwa Samaj in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana and Janman Yojana ensure tribal development, road, electricity and basic facilities in Maoist areas.

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the state government is committed to all round development of tribal society. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana for tribal dominated villages. A provision of 80 thousand crore rupees has been made for this scheme so that there is no shortage of funds in development works. Also, the Pradhan Mantri Janaman Yojana has been implemented for the upliftment of special backward tribes of the President’s adopted son. With this scheme, participation in the mainstream and development is being ensured by connecting these tribes.

Chief Minister attended the Nuakhai Milan ceremony of Dhurwa Samaj

CM Vishnudev Sai said this in the inauguration program of Dhurwa Samaj’s divisional level Nuakhai Milan ceremony and the new social building “Olekh”. The program took place in the forest school campus of Jagdalpur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a total of Rs 75 lakh for the construction of Dome at a cost of 15-15 lakhs for Dhurwa Samaj. Also, the Panchayat Development Proposals submitted by 36 sarpanches of Dhurwa Samaj also assured to approve.

Salutations to mother Danteshwari and martyr Gundadhur

Chief Minister Shri Sai worshiped Maa Danteshwari in symbolic Gudi and inaugurated the newly constructed building “Olekh”. He bowed to the heroic hero of Dhurwa Samaj, martyr Gundadhur and said that the Nuakhai Milan ceremony is a symbol of our rich traditions and culture. He said that the tradition of society is that before taking new grains or fruits, the deities are offered to the deities and this tradition will remain for the coming generations.

Society will benefit from social building ‘Okh’

CM Sai congratulated the Dhurwa Samaj on the gift of social building “Okh”. He said that this building will prove useful for society meetings, programs and development works.

Missed Atal Bihari Vajpayee

The Chief Minister also remembered the creator of Chhattisgarh state and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that Atalji made a big contribution for the tribal community by creating a separate Tribal Affairs Ministry.

He greeted Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee year and told that Atalji’s birth centenary year is being celebrated as Atal construction year.

Role of Special Tribal Area Development Authority

Chief Minister Sai said that Special Tribal Area Development Authority has an important role in the development of Bastar and Surguja. Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh formed these authorities so that special development works could be done in addition to general schemes.

Development work in Maoism affected areas

The Chief Minister said that the government is providing basic facilities like road, bridge-culvert, electricity, water, housing and ration in the Maoist affected areas of Bastar. He said that it is the complete commitment of the government to benefit every eligible person.

Address of Deputy Chief Minister and other public representatives

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma congratulated Dhurwa Samaj on the Nuakhai festival and said that this tradition of society inspires the new generation. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MP Mr. Mahesh Kashyap and MLA Mr. Kiran Dev also addressed the program and greeted the Dhurwa Samaj.

Traditional reception and guest

Mr. Pappu Nag, president of Dhurwa Samaj, gave a welcome address in the program. The officials of the society welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting the traditional umbrella, Dhurwa Tuwal, Koti and arrow-bow. Other guests were also honored in a traditional way.

MLA Vinayak Goyal, MLA Chaitram Atami, Chhattisgarh Braverage Corporation President Srinivas Rao Maddi, Mayor Sanjay Pandey, Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundararaj P, Collector Haris S, SP Shalabh Sinha and many public representatives of Bastar and members of Dhurwa Samaj were present.
