Raipur. In Nawa Raipur Sector-24, CM Vishnu Dev Sai laid the foundation stone of the joint headquarters building of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies. In this event organized on the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year and Ganpati festival of the state, he performed puja and launched a 3D model of the building. The Chief Minister said that this building will increase the efficiency of officers and employees, will establish better coordination between the three power companies and provide all the services to the consumers in one place. On this occasion, he also planted a plant of Maulashree under the campaign in the name of a tree mother.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the 25 -year journey of Chhattisgarh is a proof that the results are historic if resolution and sensitivity are together. In the year 2000, the state used to generate only 1400 MW of electricity, which has now increased to 30 thousand MW. Recently, the inauguration of a new 1320 MW capacity by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi strengthens this achievement. He said that this progress is the result of public confidence, hard work and partnership.

He said that his recent visit to Japan and South Korea experienced that Chhattisgarh is now growing rapidly towards global infrastructure and work culture. The joint headquarters building is an important step in this direction. The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the construction of the building within high quality and fixed time limit so that it becomes a new identity of the energy capacity of the state.

The Chief Minister said that under the new industry policy, MoUs worth about three lakh crore rupees have been done in the power sector. This will make it possible to generate 30 thousand MW of additional power in the coming years. This achievement will not only provide 24 -hour electricity to the people of Chhattisgarh but will also meet the needs of neighboring states. Chief Minister Sai said- In PM Modi’s leadership, the state is moving towards free electricity from PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme and its benefits are reaching far-flung areas.

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap remembered Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on this occasion for his contribution to the state building. He said that this building, built at a cost of about Rs 270 crore, will be green energy based and will become an inspiration for generations to come.

The program was attended by MP Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Mr. Sunil Soni, Mr. Purandar Mishra, Mr. Anuj Sharma, Mr. Indra Kumar Sahu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Energy Department Dr. Rohit Yadav and a large number of officers and employees were present.

It is worth noting that this joint headquarters building will be nine storey in an area of ​​10,017 square meters. In this, separate towers will be made for all three power companies-disorders, generations and transmissions. This building with a capacity of about 1300 employees will have modern features like auditoriums of 210 seats, gym for employees, two-storey basement parking, mechanical stack parking and e-vehicle charging. The building will be constructed according to the Five-Star Green rating standards of BEE and Griha and operated from the building management system.

The modern building, which is being built near the Ministry, Directorate and Police Headquarters in Nawa Raipur, will strengthen the coordination between the departments and provide new height to the energy sector of Chhattisgarh.
