Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Road Safety Workshop at the Academy of Administration, Bhopal. Sanjay App was launched, IIT Madras report released and MOUs were signed in the program. The Chief Minister said, road safety is the top priority of the state government.
Bhopal. Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, today witnessed a new era of road safety. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the road safety workshop organized at the Academy of Administration by lighting the lamp. He said that roads are not only the lines of development but also the lifelines of public safety, which every citizen has to keep safe together.
Safe roads with technology: ‘Sanjay App’ launched
During the program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the Sanjay App related to road safety. This app will help in analyzing and tracking road accidents. Also, Road Safety Reports prepared by IIT Madras were released, which will help in making scientifically based safety strategies for the state.

New chapter of partnership on road safety
Two important agreements were signed in the program to further strengthen road safety through institutional cooperation.
- MoU signed between Public Works Department and IIT Madras regarding road management and technological innovation.
- An agreement was reached between the Public Works Department and Save Life Foundation to work together to reduce loss of lives in road accidents.
“Challenges also increased with highway development”: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, “The Public Works Department is making continuous efforts to reduce the loss of lives in road accidents. In modern times, with the rapid expansion of highways, facilities have increased, but challenges have also emerged.” He told that there is a national highway network of 9 thousand kilometers in the state, which is a symbol of development, but the discipline of safe driving is necessary.
The suggestions from the workshop will be implemented
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this workshop will give concrete results in the field of road safety. He said, “Whatever meaningful suggestions come to save the lives of the people of the state, the state government will implement them at the ground level.”

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken historic steps towards empowering India. He reminded that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had laid the foundation of the country’s progress by constructing the Golden Quadrilateral Project. This journey of development has now gained more momentum.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is the heart of the country, through which the roads of major cities pass. He said that “The road network in the state is so strong that it is not only a medium of communication but has also become the identity of development.” The Chief Minister said that today Prabhuram’s city Orchha has got the gift of new road projects. He said that with continuous efforts, Madhya Pradesh will be included among the leading states of the country in the field of development in the coming years.
