MP Government Cabinet Meeting: The cabinet meeting of Madhya Pradesh government concluded on Tuesday. In which CM Dr. Mohan Yadav made many decisions. In which it was decided to give 50 percent discount in motor vehicle from “Certificate of Deposit” on new vehicles.

Bhopal, the meeting of the Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was held in the ministry on Tuesday. BS-I and Prem and BS- to promote scraping in vehicle scraping facility registered by the Council of Ministers. Vehicles with comprehensive emission standard criteria have been provided under the approval conditions to provide exemption in new non -transport vehicles registered against the issued “Certificate of Deposit” and a 50 percent motor vehicle on new transport vehicles.

As per approval, all the vehicles which have been constructed according to the comprehensive emission standard India Phase 1 (BS-1) standard and pre-emission standard criteria and the medium Malayan/Heavy Maryan/Medium Passenger Motor Vehicle/Heavy Patri Motor Vehicles which have been manufactured according to the comprehensive emission standard Bharat Phase 2 (BS-…) criteria, have been exempted under it.

99 thousand motor vehicles of BS-1 and BS-II category in MP

  • In the year 2024-25 in the state, a discount of about 17 crore 5 lakh has been provided on 1563 new vehicle registration. Currently, there are about 99 thousand motor vehicles in BS-1 and BS-II category. If they are given 50% discount in motor vehicle tax, a financial burden of Rs 100 crore will come. It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh will get a special assistance of Rs 200 crore to promote scraping in the vehicle scraping facility registered by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The India Stage (BS-1) emission norms were first introduced in April 2000 to control air pollution in India.
  • According to the acceptance, the person whose name will be “Certificate of Deposih with a new vehicle in the name of the same person will be provided with a motor vehicle.
  • The “Certificate of Deposit” will be electronically exchangeable. The “Certificate of Deposit” will be transferred to each new owner on the trading platform according to Form 2D. Once used for “Certificate of Deposit”, he will be marked by the regional transport office or dealer as “canceled” in the vehicle database, by which the holder of the said certificate has been provided benefits.

Know what are the conditions of getting tax exemption

  • A motor vehicle tax exemption will be provided only when the new vehicle is registered against the “Carificate of Deposit issued by any RVSF registered in the state of Madhya Pradesh. If” Certificate of Deposit “is issued by RVSF located in any other state other than Madhya Pradesh state.
  • A motor vehicle will be provided exemption on purchasing a new vehicle of the category whose vehicle has been scraped. In the event of a lifetime tax deposit, a lump sum exemption will be provided in 50% motor vehicle tax on non-transportation/transport vehicles. Vehicles on which taxes are made on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis will be provided a discount of 50% in monthly/quarterly/annual tax.
  • The exemption of motor vehicle provided by the Madhya Pradesh Government, Transport Department under the notification issued on 8 September 2022 will not apply to vehicles that have been provided motor vehicle exemption under this notification.

Approval of Madhya Pradesh Municipality (Amendment) Ordinance 2025

  • The cabinet was approved by the Council of Ministers to bring the Madhya Pradesh Municipal (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 to be held directly by the voters in the upcoming general public in the upcoming general public.
