Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Rewa is the center of development of Vindhya region. The target is to have 50 medical colleges in the state. A new hospital with 2400 beds will be built in Rewa and works worth ₹350 crore started for the expansion of Shyam Shah Medical College.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Rewa is working like a train engine for the development of Vindhya region, which is giving momentum to move the entire Vindhya region forward. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India, being the largest democratic country in the world, is continuously progressing in all fields, overcoming every challenge.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that earlier Indian students used to go to Ukraine and surrounding countries for medical studies. When there was a war-like situation, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi strengthened the country’s global image by bringing every Indian student back home safely.
Target of 50 medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that in the present government, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla is working with full dedication 24 hours a day, positive results of which are now visible. The pace of expansion of health facilities in the state is progressing rapidly.
New hospital building in Rewa, facility of more than 2400 beds
The Chief Minister said that after the construction of the new hospital building in Rewa, a capacity of more than 2400 beds will be available here. In the 55 years after independence, there were only 5 medical colleges in the state, but during the tenure of our government, 5 new government medical colleges are being started in just 2 years. Very soon the total number of medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh will reach 50.
Super specialty treatment facility in Rewa
Special units for cardiology, neuro surgery, neurology, urology, nephrology and cancer treatment will be set up in the new hospital building of Rewa. Along with this, advanced treatment facilities will be provided to cancer patients through state-of-the-art machines in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur.
Bhoomi pujan of development works worth Rs 350 crore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that rural and urban areas have equal importance for the state government. Singrauli of Vindhya region has also been blessed with a medical college. Due to expansion of health and medical facilities, the number of medical under-graduate seats in Madhya Pradesh has now increased to 5500.
Every year 10 thousand new doctors will be prepared – Chief Minister Mohan Yadav
The Chief Minister said that in the coming years, about 10 thousand doctors will come out of the state every year after completing their medical studies. Along with this, all necessary facilities are also being provided for nursing and paramedical education. Bhoomi-pujan of development works has been done for the expansion of Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa, at a cost of about ₹ 350 crore, which includes 15 different development works.
