On the 16th death anniversary of Nanaji Deshmukh, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav described him as a great seeker of social change. In a virtual address from Chitrakoot, he talked about taking forward the principles of rural development, self-reliance and integral humanism.
Bhopal. Dr. Mohan Yadav said that National Rishi Nanaji Deshmukh was not just a politician but a great seeker of social change. He dedicated his entire life to rural development, education and self-reliance. He believed that the real strength of India resides in the villages. Only when the villages become strong, the country will become strong. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the three-day program organized at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Research Institute in Chitrakoot from the Bhopal Assembly on the occasion of the 16th death anniversary of Nanaji Deshmukh. The 16th death anniversary of Nanaji Deshmukh will be celebrated on 27th February.

The Chief Minister said that Chitrakoot, along with being the penance place of Lord Shri Ram, is also the place of work of Nanaji Deshmukh. From here he resolved to carry forward the idea of Integral Humanism of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay.
Effort to realize the dream of integral humanism
Chitrakoot Gramodaya University was established in Chitrakoot in 1991 to give shape to Deendayal Upadhyay’s principle of Integral Humanism. Its objective was to promote rural development and self-reliance. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the state government is working towards strengthening the society and the country as per the teachings of Nanaji Deshmukh.

Deendayal Research Institute is doing commendable work in the fields of rural development as well as health, sanitation, education, agriculture, self-reliance and conservation of natural resources. The state government is committed to strengthen villages and contribute to nation building by combining heritage and development.
