The 20th All India Radio Center of the state started in Ujjain. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav called it a historic moment and inaugurated development schemes worth Rs 179 crore. There will be broadcast in Malvi dialect from the center and the preparations for Simhastha 2028 will get new strength.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the desire to open All India Radio Center in Ujjain has now been fulfilled. The building was already ready, but approval for broadcasting was awaited. After getting the approval, this center started functioning in just six months. This is the 20th Akashvani center of the state. He said that every word broadcast from here will increase the prestige of Ujjain and Simhastha. All India Radio’s programs will spread the glory of Ujjain and Simhastha to every village.
The Chief Minister said that All India Radio has played an important role in social service and public awareness along with entertainment. The broadcast starting from Ujjain will add a new chapter in history. There will be continuous telecast here every day from 5:55 am to 11 pm.
Central government ministers were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration program organized on Wednesday. Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan was also present. In the programme, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than Rs 179 crore for Ujjain district. These include many projects including Sandipani School in Maharajwada built at a cost of Rs 55 crore 27 lakh, Ujjain Railway Overbridge built at a cost of Rs 30 crore 21 lakh.
He also performed Bhoomi Pujan of road construction work costing more than Rs 50 crore, construction of 250 seater hostel, reptile park, snake park and hi-tech nursery in Dhanwantri Ayurvedic College. The Chief Minister said that Ujjain is an important place for Ayurveda, hence a proposal will be sent to build an AIIMS for Ayurveda here.
Historic moment for Ujjain – Mahakal city will echo from Akashvani Kendra
The Chief Minister said that the people of Ujjain had been waiting for a long time to have their own All India Radio Centre. This dream has now been fulfilled due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Dr. Murugan. He said that the devotion and power of Mahakal resides in the air of Ujjain.
The Chief Minister said that Ujjain is the place of education of Lord Shri Krishna and the pride of Emperor Vikramaditya is still alive here. This Akashvani center will work like “Devvani” for Ujjain. He told that Simhastha Mahakumbh will be organized in 2028 and preparations for it are in full swing.
All India Radio Center will become a big force for Simhastha
The Chief Minister said that All India Radio has made a huge contribution in the field of art, culture, education and public awareness. The launch of Ujjain Akashvani amid the preparations for Simhastha 2028 is “icing on the cake”. Through this, devotees from India and abroad will be able to hear the vibrant glimpse of Ujjain’s culture and Simhastha.
He told that Simhastha Mahakumbh has also been included in the UNESCO list. Widening of city roads, traffic improvements and other infrastructure works are going on war footing. Water screen projection and musical fountain shows have also been started at Rudrasagar.
Medical tourism hub is being developed in Ujjain and construction of Medicity is in progress. The target is to complete all the work related to Simhastha 2028 by the year 2027.
News will also be in Malvi dialect, youth will get training
Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan said that Ujjain Akashvani will now broadcast its own programs. It is a full-fledged centre. Now 20 Akashvani centers are operating in Madhya Pradesh including Ujjain.
He said that this center will become a medium for employment and broadcasting skills training for the youth. It will also give a new identity to the culture, folk arts, local cuisine and dialects of Malwa. News will be broadcast from Akashvani Ujjain in Malvi dialect.
