Chief Minister Mohan Yadav honored World Cup winning cricketer Kranti Gaur and announced the construction of a new cricket stadium in Chhatarpur. He said that revolution is the inspiration for the daughters of the state. Emphasis was also laid on making yoga and fitness a part of life.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Indian women’s cricket team has made the country proud by winning the World Cup 2025. He congratulated Kranti Gaur, a fast bowling cricketer from Ghuwara in Chhatarpur district, who achieved this milestone despite difficult circumstances and limited resources. CM said that Kranti Gaur has set an example of inspiration not only for the daughters of Madhya Pradesh but also for the daughters of the entire country. Lord Birsa Munda will be honored in a state level program to be held in Jabalpur on his birth anniversary (15 November).
New cricket stadium to be built in Chhatarpur
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a new cricket stadium will be built in Chhatarpur for the practice and sports development of players. He said that action will be taken as per rules on the appeal regarding reinstatement of cricketer Kranti Gaur’s father. In the felicitation ceremony organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, Dr. Yadav welcomed cricketer Kranti Gaur with a bouquet. His parents Munna Singh Gaur, Neelam Singh Gaur and coach Rajeev Birthare were also honoured.
Girls had inspirational conversation with cricketer Kranti
In the felicitation ceremony, girls of Madhya Pradesh Sports Academy interacted with cricketer Kranti Gaur. He asked questions about his fitness routine, struggles, practice and international experiences. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while participating in the dialogue, said that yoga and meditation are very important to maintain fitness and concentration in sports. He said that these habits make life disciplined and healthy.
CM Mohan Yadav shared childhood memories and love for sports
In response to the questions of the girls, the Chief Minister said that in Ujjain there is a tradition of bathing in the Kshipra river during festivals and fasts. In his childhood, he used to regularly go for bathing with his mother. He said that he especially liked swimming and playing hockey. The Chief Minister said that physical activities since childhood bring energy and discipline in life.
Cricketer Kranti Gaur shared success mantras
Kranti Gaur said that continuous struggle and dedication is necessary to achieve goals in life. He told that discipline in fitness and eating habits is the key to success. Kranti said that she completely gave up sweets for fitness and maintained strict discipline on her diet. He also inspired the girls to work hard and maintain self-confidence.
Coach Rajeev Birthare told the importance of fitness
Kranti Gaur’s coach Rajiv Birthare said that special attention was paid to her fitness from the beginning. This was the reason why he never faced fitness related problems in international matches. He said that despite being injured several times, Kranti made a quick recovery and returned to the field. The coach advised the girls of the sports academy to follow regular exercise, yoga and nutritious diet.
