CM Mohan Yadav Cabinet Meeting: Second phase of PM Janman Yojana approved, farmers’ compensation increased

The second phase of PM Janman Yojana was approved in the Council of Ministers meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Increase in compensation of farmers, approval of new judicial posts and amendments in government housing rules were made.

Bhopal. A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the Ministry on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. In the meeting, many important proposals related to the development of the state, tribal welfare, energy, judicial system and government housing were approved.

Approval to the second phase of PM Tribal Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan

The Cabinet has approved the Phase II Additional Action Plan for electrification of households of PVTG communities like Bharia, Baiga and Sahariya under the Pradhan Mantri Janjatya Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).

Under this scheme, an action plan worth about Rs 78 crore 94 lakh has been approved to provide electricity to 18,338 unelectrified houses. In this, 60 percent (Rs 47.36 crore) amount will be provided from the Central Government and 40 percent (Rs 31.58 crore) amount will be provided from the State Government.

Per household limit increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh

It was decided in the meeting that now the maximum cost limit for electrification of each PVTG house will be increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. If the cost exceeds this, then electrification will be done by the Energy Development Corporation by installing off-grid solar panels and batteries of 1 kilowatt capacity. A total of 211 houses will be electrified through off-grid system.

In the first phase, electricity was supplied to 8,752 houses out of 10,952 houses.

It is noteworthy that in the last meeting held on March 11, 2024, an action plan of Rs 65 crore was approved for the first phase of the scheme. Under this, electrification of 10,952 houses was proposed, out of which electricity connections have been given to 8,752 houses so far.

Increased compensation to farmers for 132 KV lines and larger lines

The Council of Ministers approved increase in the compensation amount for 132 KV and above transmission lines in the interest of farmers. Now the compensation amount on installation of tower has been increased from 85% to 200%. At the same time, the compensation amount for the land falling in the Right of Way (ROW) area has been increased from 15% to 30%.

Now 1-1 meter additional area will be added around the four legs of the tower in the compensatory area. The ownership of the land will remain with the farmer and he will be able to grow crops down the line.

New compensatory area for various KV lines

Now the compensatory area of ​​land under 132 KV line has been increased from 7 meter to 28 meter, for 220 KV line it has been increased from 14 meter to 35 meter, and for 400 KV line it has been fixed from 52 meter.

Approval of 7 new judicial posts in Bakswaha (Chhatarpur)

The Council of Ministers has approved the creation of 7 new posts at the level of Civil Judge, Junior Division in Buxwaha, District Chhatarpur. This includes 1 judicial post and 6 class III and IV posts. An expenditure of Rs 52 lakh 46 thousand per year has been approved for these posts.

Amendment in government housing allotment rules in Bhopal

In the meeting, approval was given to amend rules 17 and 37 of Bhopal-based Government Housing Allotment Rules 2000. Now in case of transfer or retirement, accommodation can be kept at normal rate for 6 months.

Retired employees will be able to keep the house by paying rent at normal rate for the first 3 months and at 10 times the rate for the next 3 months. After this, rent will be collected at penal rate and eviction action will be taken. Earlier only 3 months were allowed.

Relief will be available even after resignation or separation from service

Even in case of resignation or separation from service, permission has been given to keep the accommodation at normal rate for 3 months. After this, rent will be collected at penal rate and eviction proceedings will be taken.

Now 30 times penal rent on unauthorized occupation

Under the new amendment, the rent rates have been increased in case of unauthorized occupation. Now the penal monthly rent has been increased from 10 times to 30 times and an increase of 10 percent will be applicable every month.
