Resolution passed in assembly against SIR

The objective of the voter rights journey is to spread public awareness against the special intensive revision (SIR) process of the Election Commission. Rahul Gandhi called it a “conspiracy to say vote theft”. He claims that the names of migrant laborers, Dalits and poor voters are being removed from the voter list. During Rahul Gandhi’s visit, the slogan of “Vote thief, Gaddi Quit” echoed loudly. The ruling JMM alliance in Jharkhand has recently passed a resolution in the assembly against SIR. Hemant Soren has criticized the policies of the central government and described it as an attack on democracy. In Bihar too, the opposition has made SIR a political weapon and claimed that it is pushing poor voters to marginalize. By passing a resolution against SIR in the Assembly, JMM has made it clear what will be its stand about SIR in future.
