Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference. Starting from Mehsana, it will be organized in four regions of the state. The objective is to increase investment, empower MSME and make Gujarat a local to global industrial hub.
Gandhinagar, 28 August. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which started in 2003 with the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has led Gujarat to the global industrial map. He said that Gujarat has made a special identity of “Gateway to the Future” for investors and industries around the world.
He said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, now the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference will be organized, which will further strengthen the image of the state and the benefit of development will reach every district and every corner.
Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference Launching
CM Bhupendra Patel launched the logo, website and mobile application of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference at a program held on Thursday. Industries Minister Shri Balwant Singh Rajput, Agriculture Minister Shri Raghavji Patel and Minister of State Shri Bhikhusinh Parmar were also present on the occasion.
The purpose of this conference is to bring the industrial strength and investment capacity of every sector of Gujarat on a platform. The first regional conference will be held on 9-10 October 2025 in Mehsana. After this, such conferences will also be held in Saurashtra, Central Gujarat and South Gujarat.
Industrial and productivity power of Gujarat
The Chief Minister said that every district of Gujarat has a unique identity and product. Under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, many districts are producing so much that they contribute many times more than other states of the country.
He said that Gujarat has always led in areas such as agriculture, fisheries, food processing, chemical-patrochemical, gems-jewelery, engineering, pharma and textile. Now under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Gujarat is moving towards self -sufficiency in future areas like semiconductor, electric mobility, aerospace, defense and green energy.
Mantra of self -sufficient India and vocal for local
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s resolve is to make India a nation where Swadeshi gets priority in technology, innovation, startup, research and production. For this, the Prime Minister has given the mantras of “Wocal for Local” and “Local for Global”. He expressed confidence that the regional conference will realize this mantra.
Employment and development of all
He said that industries should be established in the same districts where industrial development has the ability. This will create a brand image at the local level, will get employment and the goal of everyone’s support, development, everyone’s trust and everyone’s efforts will be met.
Industrial development of Gujarat from Vibrant Summit
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat has become the hub of big industrial houses of the world today due to the Vibrant Summit. Along with large industries, the MSME sector has also increased rapidly and has become a backbone of industrial progress of the state.
He said that procedures from land to permits have been made easier than Ease of Doing Business. More than 20 policies and many reforms have made Gujarat a policy drive and a Pro-Active Governance State.
Industry Minister Balwant Singh Rajput’s statement
Industry Minister Shri Balwant Singh Rajput said that an investment of 45 thousand crore rupees came in the previous Vibrant Summit and more than 2600 MoUs were done. He also informed that Vibrant Gujarat started in 2003. At that time, the production of Gujarat was Rs 1.42 lakh crore and now it has increased to more than Rs 22 lakh crore.
He said that per capita income has increased from Rs 18,392 to Rs 2.73 lakh and production has increased from Rs 44 thousand crore to Rs 6.30 lakh crore. Manufacturing output has also increased from Rs 1.48 lakh crore to more than Rs 21.5 lakh crore.
MSME and increase in foreign investment
Mr. Rajput said that in 2003 the number of small industries in the state was only 1.5 lakhs, which has now increased to more than 21 lakhs. From 2003 to 2025, Gujarat has received a Direct Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of Rs 5.50 lakh crore.
He said that representatives from more than 140 countries attended the 10th Vibrant Summit. 98 thousand MoUs were signed and more than 45 thousand investors decided to invest in Gujarat. Due to this, more than 81 lakh employment opportunities have been created.
Regional conference dates and objectives
Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Mrs. Mamta Verma presented the background of the conference. Industry Commissioner Mr. P. Swaroop said that the main objective of the conference is:

These regional conferences will be held in four main areas of the state
- Mehsana (North Gujarat): 9-10 October 2025
- Rajkot (Kutch and Saurashtra): 8-9 January 2026
- Surat (South Gujarat): 9-10 April 2026
- Vadodara (Central Gujarat): 10-11 June 2026
Future direction
Mr. Swaroop told- The purpose of these conferences is to bring local entrepreneurs, youth and leadership on a platform. Also, his aspirations will be linked to the government policy. These conferences will also create opportunities in new areas such as green energy and value added crop production.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Mr. M.K. Das, Mines Commissioner Mr. Dhawal Patel, GIDC Managing Director Ms. Praveena DK, Joint Managing Director of IndexT-B, Mr. Kyur Sampat and a large number of representatives of industry organizations were present.
